Hi there! Welcome to my blog, For The Love of Tunes! It would have been “For the Love of Music”, but the domain was already taken *sigh* O well.

I should start by saying, that I am not a music professional. I am an IT (Information Technology – you know, the group of people that dwell in the lower floors of your office that periodically appear to fix your tech) guy, and it just so happens that one of my few loves is the world of orchestral/concert music. I focus mostly on the Classical genre, but I also frequently branch out into the Soundtrack genre as well. I pretty much pursue music that’s produced by a large orchestra. That plus a good cup of coffee, and I am in my own little slice of heaven.

Over the last few years, I have enjoyed the opportunity to help some dear friends and their children along in the appreciation of Concert Music, and since we’ve been doing this for years now, I felt that it might be nice to share some of those musings in the form of a blog.
